DR. STEVEN OLMOS: What we'd like to do is demonstrate for you now a situation of a patient, a chronic pain patient, a chronic inflammatory patient, whose primary reason for the sympathetic dystrophy or fight or flight response is the TM joint. Patients who have these chronic injuries have sensitivity to things that they may not be aware of, such as darkness and dark fields at night, they lose strength. They lose the ability to function, and we'd like to demonstrate this to you. So we're going to ask the patient to just put their hands in this position and be rigid as they can, and we'd like to take a look at this and just hold that there, please. Rigid, all your strength, great, thank you. And we'd like you to look at this now, please. Rigidly hold it for me, all your strength. Okay. Let's try it again, rigid, all your strength. You ready? Okay. Could you flip that one more time, please? Rigidly hold this. Thank you, very strong. So the patient looking at something light, representing day, has optimum neurology. Looking at dark, they have a sensitivity, just as this person also would have sensitivities to all sensations, smell, touch, hearing, and sight. We'd like to show you how we can reverse this, and we'd like to--is this the medium? Okay. So we're now going to use the proper titration here of an Aqualizer, and if we can run that test again, please. Okay. We'd like you to just take a look at that, rigidly hold, please. And she's quite strong. Okay. And, again, exactly the same thing. Now, there's no difference. So by decompressing the jaw, stopping the pain to the brain, nociception, then, we have a reduction of the sympathetic flow or - - system which creates the tonus in the muscles, causes them to relax, takes the person out of their dystrophy, and they're no longer sensitive to darkness, and that's what we'd like to demonstrate. Once you correct that neurology, that is the mechanism that allows things to relax, such that, now, you could set the table for anything that comes next.
